We carried our celebration of Christmas through much of December, finally capping it off Friday at school (Bible Camp).
We had Asahina-sensei over for dinner on December 23rd, a national holiday (current Emperor’s birthday). She brought fried tofu filled with leeks, radish pickles, satoimo, and miso glazed daikon.
I made salad, mushroom crepes, French onion soup, and risotto cakes.
Ready to eat!
Yum!!
For dessert, we had a store bought Christmas cake. We chose a fruit tart.
We had to work Christmas Eve (and Day), so after work, I made us a nice dinner and we opened gifts.
This is our tree.
Teddy with his gifts.
Teddy got lots of Magic cards.
I made him chocolates (I also gave some to the other teachers at school).
Me with my gifts.
I got many earrings, snacks, and these cute cups!
My family sent us a Christmas card written in Japanese!
Well, that is all for Christmas! I hope that everyone else had a lovely holiday!!
