Cherry Blossoms at Nagoya Castle and more

This spring has been unusually rainy, so unfortunately, we did not get to take full advantage of the cherry blossoms. However, we got a very nice morning 2 weeks ago and took full advantage.

These blossoms are in Shonairyokuchi Koen, the park near our apartment.

These cute ducks were down at Nagoya Castle.

We also saw another cute bird eating something from the blossoms.

My favorite cherry blossoms are the weeping variety.

I love how the pine trees surround the cherry blossoms here.

We got to see a taiko performance, as well.

Their outfits were really cool, and the drummers were full of energy!

We got to see workers doing restoration work when we were there this time, which was really interesting!

After the castle, we went to Osu, fed the pigeons, and walked around!

Well, that’s all for the cherry blossoms! The next post will be about Kinkazan and the squirrel village!

Beautiful pictures, Jen! I like the hanging cherry blossoms the best, also.
