When we returned from Toyota on Saturday, I saw a sign at the subway station that said there was a special light-up night at Shirotori Koen in Nagoya. It was only for 2 days, so we decided to go after dinner last night. (It was a super busy weekend!!) It was spectacular!

Nagoya Castle, Part Two: Restoration and Garden

After seeing the flower bonsai, we headed inside one of the newly restored buildings. Nagoya Castle was mostly destroyed in bombings during 1945, and restoration efforts began in 2009. The restoration has been scheduled into 3 phases. The first has just been completed, and the last will be completed in 2018.

Nabana no Sato Winter Illumination

This past weekend, our boss took a bunch of us to see the winter illumination at Nabana no Sato, which is in Mie Prefecture. Mie borders Aichi on the west side.

Yoro Waterfall

This weekend we get a three day weekend!! We are in the process of moving, so we only went one place this weekend, but it was beautiful! We took the train to Gifu, one of the neighboring prefectures, to see Yoro Falls.
