Today, we got up early and had breakfast at Eternal Coffee across the street. Then, it was off to the train station!
We took three trains to get to Yoro.
Once there, we began the walk to the waterfall. We saw this statue along the way.
The river is beautifully landscaped.
My mom bought some of the Yoro water because it has special healing properties, and her foot has been hurting her.
More of the pretty river.
A cute little lizard.
The manhole cover of Yoro features a man riding on a gourd.
I love the dragonflies here!
We all enjoyed watching this cute little inchworm.
Mini tiered waterfalls leading up to the main event.
A random tour guide offered to take our picture!
Another shot of the waterfall.
The lower half of the falls.
The spiders here are beautiful, but big enough to be creepy.
My mom didn’t think this bug was cute, but I thought it was beautiful.
As we were leaving, I looked up and thought these gourds looked very strategically arranged. It’s written bottom to top for some reason, but the gourds spell out Yoro in katakana. (ヨーロー)
We took the train back to Nagoya, and then we went to Kiharutei. We tried their macrobiotic karaage.
We also got both varieties of macrobiotic tantanmen. Yum!
We also went to Regnie for cake!
Brittany was super excited about the tiramisu.
I got the weekend roll cake.
Caramel chocolate cake.
Mom got this cassis cake.
Mom and Brittany are thrilled!!
Teddy’s cappuccino was almost too cute to drink!
Well, tonight we are off to a festival (For real, this time). Look forward to more pictures later!
