We were going to head to Fushimi Inari Taisha and the Gekkeikan Sake Museum after Nara, but then there was a torrential downpour. Since we’re in the path of a strong typhoon, we decided to not trust the weather, and we headed back to Kyoto for some covered arcade/indoor activities.
First, we took the subway from Kyoto Station to Shiyakusho-mae and walked around the underground shopping center a bit. These dolls show traditional Japanese wedding outfits.

Next, we took them to Nishiki Market, a food market. These are tsukemono – Japanese pickles produced by fermenting in rice bran.
You could try the pickles at many places!
Teddy got a grapefruit and rum drink.
After Nishiki market, we went to Wan Nyan Chu, a cat cafe.

After, we went to Sunshine Cafe. Teddy and I got the tempeh and veggie nashi goreng.
Mom and Brittany got the veggie fried rice.
Well, that’s all for today!
