This weekend was all about hanging out.
Friday, we had another work dinner party. The theme this time was “Breakfast for Dinner”.
I also ordered an organic farm box from Gifu, the neighboring prefecture. It excited me. The only questionable vegetable was satoimo (taro root). It can be kind of slimy when cooked certain ways. It’s not too healthy, but I have plans to deep fry it to see if that makes it delicious.
I made home fries, too, but they were not done at picture taking time. Here’s the Breakfast for Dinner spread.
Teddy joins the party!
I was folding triangle napkins for everyone, but Hannah wanted a crane. I don’t think she thought I’d actually make one.
Saturday we went to Love Pacific Cafe for lunch. You get to make your own salad and choose which soup you want!!
We both got the spicy croquette burger. It was yummy, but not spicy.
I don’t know what these are, but they’re pretty!
A cute tomato sculpture in Sakae.
This tree had three colors of flowers!
The same tree,
Still the same tree.
There was this amazing pig mascot in Sakae today.
We were hanging out with a girl from Pittsburgh today, and we got some Mister Donut!
This band was amazing. Usually the bands that play in Sakae are awful, but I really liked these guys. They’re called Virbellwind and you should check them out.
We also went to Cat Street, a nice cat cafe in Sakae.
Munchkins are popular here.
This Persian was really chill.
The rules. Don’t yell, don’t run, don’t squeeze, and don’t put toys in the cats’ faces.
A cute munchkin kitten.
Well, that’s all for now!
