Today, we met up with Rachel, a friend of a friend. We ate yummy vegetarian food and admired beautiful sakura.
First, we went to Polan no Hiroba, a vegetarian place in Issha. I got the bread with my lunch set. I think that it was GF bread, because it was kind of gummy. I would get the rice next time. The food, however, was delicious.
The muffin was verified to me as GF, and was pretty good. Rachel got the sakura muffin, and Teddy and I got strawberry jam muffins. Yum!
After lunch, the three of us hopped on the subway and headed to Mizuhokuyakusho to see the cherry blossoms along Yamazakigawa. It has been selected as one of the top 100 spots in Japan.
We saw this cute little guy while admiring the flowers.
Teddy and me with the flowers.
The trees hanging over the river were so pretty!
There were beautiful, decorative lanterns at the major bridges.
Shidarezakura and Somei Sakura.
Shidarezakura, or weeping cherry blossoms, are my favorite.
After walking along the length of the river, we hopped back on the subway and headed to Shirotori Koen.
Cherry blossoms and bamboo.
A crane sitting in the lake.
We saw a couple dressed for a wedding while we were there.
The crane takes flight.
After the garden, the three of us went to Love Pacific Cafe. We all got the taco rice. They had run out of avocado, but it was still yummy.
Well, that’s all for today!
