Tsurumai Koen

Sorry for the gap in posts. We have been super busy!

On our anniversary (way back on May 18th!) we went to Tsurumai Park. It’s a very easy park for us to get to, because it’s on our subway line. So we just can get on, go for 8 stops, and we’re there!

Tsurumai Park is pretty old, and even used to have a zoo. Now it is famous for its flowers. It has many different seasonal flowers, like cherry blossoms, roses, and hydrangeas. When we went, the roses were in full bloom.

Fountain

Near exit 4 of the Tsurumai subway station, there is a beautiful fountain.

Duck

The ducks loved the fountain.

There were hundreds of varieties of roses at the park.

Tsuru-mai (鶴舞) means “crane dance”.

So, there were crane statues around the lake.

Lake

Another shot of the lake.

I’m not sure if this is a regular thing, or if it was something special, but when we were there, there were TONS of cosplayers all over the park.

A group of Vocaloid cosplayers.

After the cosplayers, we engaged in a cat rescue mission, after which, we ate yummy bread at the nearby mall.

Bread

We had a berry and cream cheese bagel with a garlic baguette. They were yummy.

My next post will be about the Thai Festival!
